DryWall Evaluations
Complete the following steps:
Step 1:
The students show proficiency with layout. Cut and attach a 4 small sheets of drywall to the drywall module station.
Value: 10 marks
Step 2:
Used appropriate distance to attach the sample drywall with screws and flush with wall. Ensure "butt on butt" drywall is used. Cut out area for receptacle.
Value: 10 marks
Step 3:
Drywall joins are sanded down three times and are free of bumps and nothing beyond the plane of the surface.
Value: 10 marks
Step 4:
Drywall corners are sanded down three times and are free of bumps and nothing beyond the plane of the surface.
Value: 10 marks
Step 5:
Insert a smooth join and plaster with corner bead
Value: 10 marks
Step 6:
Make a small hole in the drywall. Provide supports behind hole. Ensure the supports are 50% visible.
Value: 10 marks
Step 7:
Accurate “cutout” of hole and new drywall fitted well
Value: 10 marks
Step 8:
Hole plastered well resulting in a smooth surface
Value: 10 marks
Cleaned up area and tidied away tools
Value: 20 marks
